Integration
InHealth’s Claims Intelligence Solution has been specifically developed to easily integrate with third party applications. Your adjusters will work within an InHealth portal that unifies the information from your claims system with the strengths of the InHealth workflow, knowledgebase and reporting capabilities. This portal may be customized to the look and feel of the Insurance Companies standards or may be the standard InHealth Portal.
InHealth’s Claims Intelligence Solution is delivered as an ASP solution. By leveraging an ASP-based solution, your internal IT teams are relieved of the burden of managing the application, providing operational support and ensuring that all backups, upgrades and security are in place.
InHealth works with your internal IT staff to develop a customized interface between your internal claims system and the Claims Intelligence Software.
Using Web Services as an integration methodology allows the server to remain in our hosting environment but still provide seamless integration to existing claims systems. Web Services can also be easily extended to add additional capability should it be required for a particular customer. Web Services provides the capability to run over SSL (encrypted data) however, InHealth recommends that data transfer between the applications solution occur via a Virtual Private Network connection for added security.
InHealth recommends one of two standard approaches when considering integration between its Claims Intelligence Software, your in-house claims system and HCAI.
Regardless of the approach taken, InHealth provides a secure storage area accessible to insurance company systems for all of the HCAI form data, over and above what HCAI offers plus a fully functional Decision Support application with real time access to current and historical data.
Option One
If integration of policy and claim data between your internal claims system and HCAI has already been completed, InHealth provides integration to the HCAI system to retrieve required information relating to forms, claims and final decisions. If you are already pulling this data, by passing a copy of the data retrieved from HCAI to InHealth for use by the DSS (before or after being processed by the internal systems), the data will be stored in it's entirety for later use. If you are not pulling this data, InHealth will create the interface for use by the DSS and store the information for later use. InHealth will make use of your claim and policy feed to create the initial integration between the claims processing system and InHealth. Further integration will be possible to update your claims system from the DSS with the results of the forms.
Option Two
InHealth offers integration to HCAI so you don’t have to. InHealth will work with your IT staff to create an interface between the Claims system and InHealth. This data will then be passed to HCAI through the claim and policy feed. InHealth will then retrieve the forms feed from HCAI and through a customized portal your adjusters will leverage the strength of InHealth’s Claims Intelligence software, while also automatically and instantly updating your existing claims system with critical information. Information on the status decision on each form still needs to be updated manually to HCAI. However, InHealth has strategies to minimize this impact on your workflow.
